Neopost USA Embraces Cloud-Based, Subscription-Based Business Model to Build Customer Loyalty
Stephen Rakoczy, Senior Vice President of Operations and IT at Neopost USA, told an audience at Dreamforce, about the strategic and tactical steps he has taken to help Neopost USA transform from a hardware distributor and license software provider to a more flexible subscription- and cloud-based business communications management solution provider.
"It's all about simplifying systems and processes to facilitate a great customer experience," Rakoczy told attendees at the October event for IT industry visionaries and product experts in Northern California.
Neopost USA needed an easy system for its sales people, call center agents and customers to sign-up and modify transactions as it moves into the new subscription provider environment. "Our sweet spot is providing business communications management tools to small- and medium-sized companies and big ERP no longer supported what we needed to do," Rakoczy said. "We found a great partner, Apttus, to build-out our quote-to-cash platform on the Salesforce.com platform. The whole idea was to free our sales force from paperwork worries and give them the time to concentrate on customers' needs."
Neopost USA has seen two chief results. "We have improved quote-to-cash and we've provided greater visibility to our employees and our customers about how we do business together in an increasingly complex business environment," Rakoczy said. "Convenient access to clean and accurate data allows us to monitor activity and enhance our sales approach with an informed, specific and granular level of detailed response. We consider that a competitive differentiator in our space."
