Neopost USA’s Webinars Raise IMpb Awareness

Neopost USA's Intelligent Mail Package Barcode (IM®pb) customer education webinar series has been a big hit. Three recent webinars hosted by Neopost USA, an expert in the preparation, delivery and management of business communications, have attracted more than 5,000 attendees.

Consumers and professional mailers are more aware of the responsibilities and opportunities associated with the upcoming postal barcode regulations thanks to the facts, counsel and tips offered by subject matter expert Ralph Mezzoni, Neopost USA's Director, Product Marketing, Mailroom Solutions.

Polling data from three webinars* show that attendees' level of familiarity and understanding of IMpb benefits have increased 19 percent from April to August and more than one-third of attendees want more information about this major postal requirement change. Webinar polling data also showed that attendee's awareness of the effects and opportunities associated with Commercial Base Pricing increased six percent since April.**

"Neopost USA's webinar series has had a measurable and beneficial effect on mailers during the past five months," Mezzoni said. "In 2015, the Intelligent Mail Package Barcode will take full effect. Our intents are simple: help postal service customers get ready for the inevitable, help them comply with the new regulations and educate them on ways to maximize the cost savings benefits associated with full IMpb compliance."

The IMpb webinars have been so successful that Neopost USA plans to present one each month until the January 2015 deadline. The next program is scheduled for late September.

Neopost USA has assembled answers to the most commonly asked IMpb questions in an easy-to-read summary.

*Survey data were collected from 5,015 attendees at three IMpb-focused webinars hosted by Neopost USA on April 24, July 23 and August 21, 2014.

**Only mailers who fully comply with IMpb requirements in January 2015 will continue to have access to Commercial Base Pricing (CBP). CBP provides significant savings compared with retail rates, as much as 59 percent for certain parcels.
