Neopost USA Helps Americans Celebrate National Postal Worker Day
Neopost USA received more than 35 essay submissions of appreciation and more than 100 comments on social media from Americans who gratefully acknowledged their favorite postal workers in advance of National Postal Worker Day on July 1.
Neopost USA invited Americans to share their personal stories of appreciation as well as their gratitude for their favorite postal worker. This simple request yielded heartfelt comments of praise for the important ways postal workers affect the communities and individuals they serve. The collective responses were developed into a virtual message board of appreciation, including:
“I am always reading or hearing in the news that a postal worker has saved the life of someone on his or her route.”
“One day, my mom fell and my father couldn’t lift her off the ground by himself. The letter carrier arrived in the nick of time and helped my dad move my mom to her chair. So for that act of kind assistance, my family and I are grateful.”
“As a child, I thought of [my favorite postal worker] as Santa Claus – a happy man with a beard who brought packages to people’s houses!”
Last year alone, the men and women of the United States Postal Service® diligently accepted, administered, managed and delivered more than 155 billion pieces of important mail. They are the personification of the mechanism America depends upon regularly to receive the 21st century’s most valuable commodity – corresponded information.
“One glance at the responses Neopost USA received tells you immediately that the United States Postal Service is an integral and momentously important part of America’s daily life. This country’s respect and admiration for the USPS has always existed among postal customers. Neopost USA is proud to serve as a conduit for the American public to show its gratitude.”
